Will Greenwood leaves Sam Underhill out of his 2021 Lions XV

Sky Sports pundit Will greenwood has picked his Lions XV to face the Springboks in 2021, but admitted it’s sure to change before the first Test in July.

They will exclusively show the British & Irish Lions’ three-Test series against the Springboks in South Africa in 2021, as well as their five warm-up matches.

This agreement means Sky Sports will show its seventh successive Lions tour, a partnership that will enter its 25th year in 2021.

The Lions will face the Springboks in three Tests – all exclusively live on Sky. The rights also include each of the five warm-up matches.

Here is Greenwood’s selection to beat the Springboks:

15. Stuart Hogg (76 Scotland caps, British & Irish Lions 2013, 2017)

“A tourist twice already, Scotland skipper Hogg is yet to pick up a Test cap for the Lions, having been too young in 2013 and suffered injury in 2017.”

14. Jonny May (56 England caps)

“Never a Lion before, 29-year-old May has been one of the most consistent players in world rugby for some time, and has stood out again in 2020.”

13. Manu Tuilagi (43 England caps, British & Irish Lions 2013)

“2019 saw Tuilagi return to the England fold and produce a considerable impact. He was essential in their run to the World Cup final in Japan.”

12. Robbie Henshaw (43 Ireland caps, British & Irish Lions 2017)

“Still just 27, Henshaw has been one of the premier centres in the northern hemisphere for the last two World Cup cycles.”

11. Liam Williams (62 Wales caps, British & Irish Lions 2017)

The starting Lions full-back on the most recent tour in 2017 to New Zealand, Williams’ career has gone from strength-to-strength since.
