WORLD XV: Franks, Furlong, Herrera? Who is the world’s best tighthead-prop?

2. Owen Franks – New Zealand

The All Blacks tighthead has been a key player for a number of years now, winning 94 caps since making his debut in 2009,  and will feature heavily once again during the Rugby Championship. In 2015 he became one of only twenty dual Rugby Union World Cup winners.

Franks combines a powerful scrummaging ability with the hands and brains every All Black possesses as ingrained basics.
