England face a nightmare start to 2027 as Steve Borthwick's side prepare for a huge year which ends with the Rugby World Cup.
The England 2027 fixtures will put Borthwick's squad under immediate pressure, with two huge Six Nations games to begin the campaign.
England travel to Dublin to face Ireland before welcoming France to Allianz Stadium just nine days later.
There will be little room for a slow start.

England 2027 fixtures begin with brutal Six Nations test

England begin their 2027 Six Nations campaign with a huge Friday night clash against Ireland in Dublin on 5 February.
The official Six Nations fixture list has England kicking off at the Aviva Stadium at 8.10pm.
It does not get much easier from there.
France visit Allianz Stadium on Sunday, 14 February, meaning England will face two of Europe's biggest sides in their opening two matches.
Those games could have a major impact on the championship.
Borthwick's side then host Italy before travelling to Cardiff to face Wales. They finish their campaign against Scotland at Allianz Stadium.

England's 2027 Six Nations fixtures

Friday, 5 February: Ireland v England – 8.10pm
Sunday, 14 February: England v France – 3.10pm
Saturday, 20 February: England v Italy – 4.40pm
Saturday, 6 March: Wales v England – 4.40pm
Saturday, 13 March: England v Scotland – 4.40pm

Nightmare start for England

Opening away in Dublin before facing France represents a nightmare scenario for England.
Ireland have regularly been among the strongest teams in world rugby, while France will arrive in London with their own ambitions of winning the Six Nations.
Two defeats would leave England's title hopes in serious trouble before the end of February.
However, two victories could completely change the mood around Borthwick's squad.
England will at least have home advantage for three of their five matches. France, Italy and Scotland all visit Allianz Stadium, while England travel to Ireland and Wales.
The Six Nations will also carry extra importance because of what comes later in the year.

Rugby World Cup awaits

Everything England do in 2027 will ultimately build towards the Rugby World Cup in Australia.
Borthwick led England to the semi-finals in 2023, where they suffered a heartbreaking one-point defeat against eventual champions South Africa.
Four years later, expectations will be significantly higher.
The 2027 Rugby World Cup will be staged in Australia, making England's Six Nations campaign a major part of their preparations.
The opening double-header against Ireland and France should provide an early indication of whether England are ready to challenge the world's best.
