Former England prop Joe Marler is back in the England camp. Yes, really.
The 36-year-old has made a surprise return to the national team setup as Steve Borthwick prepares his side for Sunday's Nations Championship opener against Australia.
But before anyone starts dusting off his England shirt, there's a catch.
Marler, who retired from international rugby in 2024, isn't making another comeback. At least, not with his boots on.
Instead, the former Harlequins favourite is back to lend a hand as England prepare for a huge autumn campaign.
Joe Marler is back – beard and all
There was no mistaking the familiar face watching England's preparations this week.
Marler, complete with his trademark beard, was spotted back among the squad.
The sight of the 95-cap loosehead was enough to turn a few heads, with the popular former international once again finding himself in the spotlight.
And while he won't be packing down against the Wallabies on Sunday, having someone with his experience – and famously colourful personality – around camp certainly won't hurt.
One fan commented: "Marler out of retirement 👀"
Another wrote: "JOE? BIG JOE MARLER... IS THAT YOU"
A third added: "Coach Marler 👀"
Others joked about his presence, with one supporter writing: "Ah the Doctor is with you."
Marler's involvement gives England access to one of the most experienced front-row forwards of his generation.
He briefly came out of retirement earlier this year to take part in a charity rugby match.

England preparing for Australia
Borthwick's side face Australia at Twickenham on Sunday, November 8, looking to make a winning start to their autumn campaign.
England have endured a difficult 2026, finishing fifth in the Six Nations before recording victories over Fiji and Argentina during the summer.
With several England stars ruled out through injury, Borthwick faces some difficult selection decisions.
Marler's experience could prove valuable behind the scenes.
The former British and Irish Lions prop won 95 England caps and featured in three Rugby World Cups.
He was also part of the England squad that reached the 2019 World Cup final, as detailed in his international retirement announcement.
Although there is no suggestion Marler will return as a player, his presence is another interesting addition to England's preparations.
And judging by the reaction online, supporters are delighted to see him back.
