England and Leicester Tigers scrum-half Ben Youngs shared a BRUTAL pre-season workout on Twitter.
Rugby requires whole body aerobic fitness. To raise aerobic fitness you need to exercise the entire body.
More and more rugby players are incorporating indoor rowing into their training regimens, because rowing uses the upper and lower body, recruiting a very large muscle mass and improving aerobic fitness levels. It’s a simple equation: time on the indoor rower equals better performance on the pitch.
Youngs was doing 200m max effort than resting for 30 seconds. 12 reps was enough for him.
Monday morning session after some weights I hit the rowing machine 200m max effort 30seconds rest 12 reps that was enough for me 🤪 does anyone enjoy rowing? Give that short hit session a crack #imnotmadetorow pic.twitter.com/L4xjiLERrf
