Leicester Tigers duo facing HUGE pay-cuts

England stars Jonny May and Ben Youngs are out of contract at Leicester Tigers this summer and will have to take massive pay-cuts to stay at Welford Road.

According to the Mail Online, May has received no concrete offers from other clubs while Youngs has been offered a one-year extension.

The report suggests that the duo will be forced into taking pay-cuts of around £100,000-a-year each to remain at Welford Road.

It is understood May earns £325,000 a season and wants the same deal, but the Tigers have offered him nearer £200,000 as they prioritise strengthening their pack.

Youngs is apparently in the same boat with £100,000 being chopped off his current earnings.

Both are expected to start for England when Eddie Jones picks his team to face Scotland this weekend.
