Popular prop Joe Marler has reacted after he was ruled out of England’s clash with the Wallabies at Twickenham this weekend.
In a statement, the RFU said: :”After returning a positive lateral flow test on Monday, he went into isolation. A subsequent PCR test taken confirmed the result. He will now isolate for 10 days, as per guidelines.”
The 31-year-old, who at first thought it might be a prank, reacted to the news with two simple words according to reports, saying: “Oh, bollocks”.
All other players and staff are waiting for PCR test results after additional lateral flow tests came back negative.
The squad trained as normal on Tuesday morning as they continue preparations for the Australia game.

Marler said: “I think he was a farmer. He epitomised those earthy, no-nonsense values on the rugby field, getting on with the job. The player I looked up to most early in my career.”
