Taylor wrote “can’t wait to get started.” on his Twitter account.

Tommy Taylor was born in Macclesfield, and the hooker represented the club in his senior team breakthrough. Taylor ran out at Priory Park for the 2010/11 season, before he was scouted for a Premiership career at Sale Sharks.

Taylor is currently undergoing his second stint at the AJ Bell Stadium, as he left Sale for a five year spell with Wasps from 2016 to 2021. Taylor returned ahead of the 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership season, and was an integral part of getting the Sharks to the latest Premiership final, the club’s first since 2006.
