On Monday, head coach Eddie Jones will name his squad for the autumn Tests against Tonga, Australia and South Africa and it will herald a changing of the guard.

A serious overhaul is on the cards with a number of high-profile regulars set to miss out on selection.

#1. George Ford (Leicester Tigers)

The Mail Online understands George Ford is in danger of missing the cut, despite sterling exploits over the weekend. His omission would be highly significant as this is the campaign which will launch the two-year countdown to the next World Cup.

#2. Billy Vunipola (Saracens)

Billy Vunipola at his best was a force of nature at No 8 and Curry may be asked to fill that giant void, as he has done in the past — despite constant calls for Exeter’s explosive Sam Simmonds to be picked for the national team instead.

#3. Luke Cowan-Dickie (Exeter Chiefs)

Cowan-Dickie limped off with an ankle problem at Wasps on Saturday.

#4. Maro Itoje & Anthony Watsons (Saracens & Bath)

Itoje and Watson both left the field early during Saracens’ 71-17 thrashing of Bath at the Recreation Ground. Itoje took a blow to his shoulder and was replaced after 48 minutes while Watson strained a knee in open play late in the game.
