Bath Rugby have confirmed the signing of Scotland and British & Irish Lions centre Chris Harris ahead of the 2025/26 season, joining as injury cover for the sidelined Ollie Lawrence.

The experienced midfielder arrives from Gloucester, where he racked up an impressive 158 Premiership appearancesand 34 tries across stints with the Cherry & Whites and Newcastle Falcons.
A key figure in Scotland’s backline, Harris boasts 46 international caps, featuring at both the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups, and has crossed the whitewash six times in Test match action.
Speaking on his switch to the Rec, Harris said:
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join Bath and get to play with some great friends and great talent.
The culture translates on the pitch and I’m excited to get started.”
Bath’s Head of Rugby Johann van Graan welcomed the addition:
“We are very excited that Chris will be joining us on injury dispensation for Ollie.
Chris is a leader, and an excellent all-round player who wants to add to our fourth-year journey.
I believe Chris' best is yet to come and he will fit in very well with our family-first environment.”
Harris steps in for Lawrence, who is set to miss the start of the campaign after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendonduring England’s Six Nations clash with Italy in March.
