Bristol Bears Considering Shock Replacement For Pat Lam

Reports from RugbyPass claimed Quins viewed Gatland as a leading candidate for their director of rugby role before talks eventually broke down, leaving the 62-year-old available for a potential return to club rugby.

With uncertainty now growing around Lam’s future, Gatland’s name has started to emerge in conversations surrounding Bristol.

The intriguing part is that Lam is still contracted until the summer of 2028.

Back in September 2021, Bristol handed the former All Black a five-year extension despite his previous deal only running until 2023, showing just how highly rated he was at Ashton Gate.
