Exeter Chiefs have been dealt another brutal blow as powerhouse number eight Greg Fisilau has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.

The 21-year-old, who recently penned a new three-year deal at Sandy Park, suffered the setback during the club’s record-breaking 79-17 hammering at Gloucester on Sunday.
England hopes crushed
Capped by England 'A' and one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise dismal campaign, Fisilau’s injury also ends any slim hopes of a call-up for England’s summer tour to Argentina — a trip running in parallel to the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia.
Exeter in crisis
The loss came amid turmoil at the club. In the wake of the Gloucester drubbing — their worst defeat since joining the Premiership in 2010 — Exeter Chiefs suspended head coach Rob Hunter and attack coach Ali Hepher, with Rob Baxter stepping in to take control for the remainder of the season.
Injury crisis deepens
Fisilau was one of four players crocked at Kingsholm. Wales centre Joe Hawkins, who is set to leave Exeter in the summer, will be out for four weeks with an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, hooker Max Norey (shoulder) and flyer Ben Hammersley (knee) have both been ruled out for the rest of the campaign, adding to the club's growing list of woes.
