4 weeks? It was high yeah but surely getting red carded and a automatic 1 week suspension would’ve been fair.

To the letter of the law it’s a red card all day. However 10mins in the sin bin followed by a enforced substitution IMO would have been the perfect solution. Player punished, but still 15v15 for a marginal call... Not my idea, it’s @BenKay5 but I love it. Thoughts? 🏉

This for me was no different to the George Smith tackle, the contact point was similar the outcome similar.. the panel different... wrong decision ...should appeal premiershiprugby.com/gallagherprem/…
I’m not criticising GS I think sending off is sufficient in both incidents ... however they are similar yet one guy gets 4 weeks doesn’t make sense. Already said I don’t think either were reds in game ... it’s tough for players either way... being hit or being the tackler
Have you read Smith’s defence. The big difference was there was no ball. Smith’s defence was he hit the ball which bounced Wray making the impact look harder. No ball involved in Spencer’s tackle. Contact was fully on the player.
6 week ban for Spencer originally... Is this actually serious? Manu Tuilagi only received 5 weeks for a 3 punch combo on Chris Ashton’s head...... It’s an absolute joke...
