Former Scotland rugby international Tim Visser is set to stand trial after being accused of rape and abusive behaviour towards a woman.
The 39-year-old faces four charges relating to alleged incidents between 2010 and 2024.
Visser, who won 33 caps for Scotland, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to BBC News, the case was heard at the High Court in Glasgow.
Two charges allege that Visser raped the woman on various occasions.
He also faces allegations of threatening, controlling and abusive behaviour.
The charges include claims of physical violence and controlling aspects of the woman's daily life.
His defence lawyer, Ian Duguid, entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
A trial has been scheduled to begin in Edinburgh on 12 January 2028.

Born in the Netherlands, Visser chose to represent Scotland at international level.
The winger made 33 appearances for Scotland between 2012 and 2017.
