George Ford the latest rugby star to get married as summer of love continues

The fly-half tied the knot with fiancee Atdhetare Hoxha, who is a hospitality specialist.

There are several other rugby players who have got married or engaged over the summer and here we take a look at some.

Before getting married, Zoe and Jack dated for an extended period. Nowell is one of the fortunate ones who married their childhood sweethearts.

Jack first met her when she relocated from Essex to Cornwall when he was 14 years old. Nowell’s wife Zoe works as a spa therapist, who has always been supportive of Jack’s career. 

The pair have two children, one boy, and one girl. Nori Nowell, the couple’s first child, was born on June 1, 2018. They were then blessed with a baby boy, Zimi Nowell, in June 2020. 

The Wales international has married her childhood sweetheart, West End star, Sophie Evans.  The 29-year-old met Sophie when they were teenagers and got engaged last Christmas Day at their home in Cardiff.

Sophie rose to stardom as a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent show Over The Rainbow, went on to play Dorothy in the hit stage show The Wizard Of Oz.

The 29-year-old and his other half tied the knot just days after Ireland won the Triple Crown with victory over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.

The pair, who have a daughter called Olive, have been dating for well over five years.

Another engagement. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news with her followers, supermodel Joanna posted a photo of her husband-to-be holding her hand as she showed off her engagement ring. 

The model captioned the photo: "Always & forever."
