Injury Concern Sees Welsh Captain Miss Crucial European Clash

Wales captain Dewi Lake, who came off last weekend in Parma at halftime, will miss Saturday evening’s Challenge Cup match against Montpellier Hérault Rugby.
He sustained a shoulder injury in the first half of the Ospreys’ 23-19 defeat at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, and was seen treating the joint with ice.
But it proved to be a non-significant issue as head coach Mark Jones revealed it was not serious and he could have played against Montpellier.

“He just took a bang onto his AC joint, which has been grumbling on for a period of time,” added Jones.
“There won’t be any concerns for Dewi moving forward.”
Despite the narrow defeat last Sunday in Italy, a losing bonus point secured Jones' side a spot in the last 16.
However, this top-of-the-table showdown against the South of France side means a victory in Bridgend will secure the Ospreys' home advantage in the round of 16.
“We’ve got one more chance to try and secure a home draw. If you said that to me before the tournament, we’d be saying yes, we’ll take that,” continued Jones.
“We know we can go to any place and compete regardless, but we’d love it if people were coming to us, so we can do it in front of our own fans.”
