Leicester Tigers could lose four key players after the final this weekend

Four key players could be playing their final game for Leicester Tigers when they take on Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership final this weekend.

#1. George Ford to Sale Sharks

The 28-year-old, capped by England on 77 occasions, has signed a three-year deal. Ford, who returned to Leicester in 2017, will now leave Welford Road for a second time, having previously joined Bath in 2013.
Following the announcement, Ford, who elected against taking up an option to stay with the Tigers, said: “It has been the most difficult decision of my career.
“I am proud and grateful to represent this great club at Leicester and I will give my all for the rest of my time at Tigers.”

#2. Ellis Genge to Bristol Bears

The England international has put pen to paper on a deal to return to his boyhood club ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. A product of Bristol’s Academy, 26-year-old Genge made 28 outings before departing for Leicester Tigers in 2016.

#3. Matias Moroni to Newcastle Falcons

South American-based journalist Paul Tait shared a message suggesting Moroni will be heading north to Newcastle Falcons for the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership season. Read more about the proposed move on Leicestershire Live.

#4. Nemani Nadolo to Waratahs

The powerhouse winger is set to join the Waratahs on a one-year deal next season from Gallagher Premiership side Leicester. 12 years after he was cut adrift by the Waratahs, Nadolo will join test fullback Kurtley Beale in a return to add international class and devastating power next year.
