"Lost £50k" - Stuart Hogg shuts down two businesses amid ugly divorce

The move comes months after the 33-year-old avoided a custodial sentence following his conviction related to domestic abuse.

Applications have been submitted to strike off both a sports-related business and a property firm the former couple jointly owned.

Their company SWH Properties previously owned two homes, which were sold for £155,000 and £85,000. Another venture, One Thousand Twenty Five, is reported to have lost a £50,000 investment.

Official paperwork shows both firms are due to be dissolved “not less than two months” from December 2.

A source told The Sun: “It’s no surprise as they surely couldn’t continue to remain business partners. Hogg has taken more than 12 months since he was convicted to sort out his business affairs with his now ex-wife Gillian. These things can take a long time.”

Hogg won 100 caps for Scotland, represented the British & Irish Lions, and currently plays his club rugby with French side Montpellier.
