Netflix will be showing a new behind-the-scenes docuseries that follows the four home nations during the 2023 Six Nations.
According to City A.M, Six Nations chiefs have 'held talks with programme makers and a deal is thought to be close', paving the way to start at next year’s edition of the international tournament.
The programme is expected to be a Six Nations version of Drive to Survive, with England and Wales now giving cameras to their dressing rooms before, during and after games.
“If Netflix are going to be investing in this, they will want to get it out before the World Cup [in late 2023],” revealed Ben Uttley, who is the former director of British and Irish Lions documentaries.
“The only alternative would be to do a longer running series where they try and pick up the momentum from after the World Cup which would be a much longer commitment.
"I’m not quite sure if the audience is big enough for Netflix to invest [in that option] heavily.”

LIST: 6 most overrated players in the Six Nations

Fans on Reddit have been debating the most over and underrated players for each country that takes part in the Six Nations.

WALES

  • Overrated: Ross Moriarty
  • Underrated: Will Rowlands
One fan wrote on Rowlands: "Rowlands has been really consistent and really underrated for a couple seasons now. Tompkins is another who I don't think is fully appreciated."
One fan on Moriarty: "Moriarty is at best, an average 8 with a bad temper. He doesn't do much graft and doesn't make ground. We've needed to move on from him for years, just be grateful Faletau is still playing excellent rugby."

ENGLAND

  • Overrated: Marcus Smith
  • Underrated: Jack Nowell
One fan on Nowell: "His work rate and physicality is something I think often goes unnoticed but he’s an absolute grinder. If he was quicker I think people would see him for the quality player he is."

One fan on Smith: "The whole “second coming of Wilkinson Christ” hype aside I’ve been thoroughly underwhelmed when he’s been on the pitch. I’ve felt he’s largely anonymous and his main interaction is throwing/kicking Hail Marys and hoping they pull off a highlight reel break."

ITALY

  • Overrated: Michele Lamaro
  • Underrated: Pierre Bruno

FRANCE

  • Overrated: Francois Cros
  • Underrated: Melvyn Jaminet
One fan on Jaminet: "I can see why he is selected with his goalkicking, big boot and his pace but I think he's still a bit shaky defensively and under the high ball. I personally think that Ramos (a strong contender for my underrated list) offers everything Jaminet does and more with his exceptional attacking game (however he's perhaps too.. ambitious.. with certain plays which holds him back in the selectors eyes)."

IRELAND

  • Overrated: James Ryan
  • Underrated: Tadhg Beirne
