The Stormers are anxiously awaiting scan results after star fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu suffered a potentially serious ankle injury during Saturday's 44-21 United Rugby Championship quarter-final victory over Cardiff.

Head coach John Dobson admitted the initial prognosis is concerning.
“It looks pretty serious, to be honest,” Dobson said.
“He’s obviously going for a scan. The doctors have given me some feedback, but it looks like a proper ankle injury.
“He was cramping a bit before then and looked uncomfortable when he started running back. We haven’t confirmed anything yet, but it’s concerning.”
The timing could hardly be worse for the Stormers, who now face a URC semi-final without one of the most influential players in the competition.
Dobson acknowledged the scale of the setback but backed the squad to respond.
“It’s a big blow. But whenever we take a knock, this group tends to pull together and fight.
“We’ve lost probably the most in-form young player in world rugby the week before a semi-final, which is far from ideal. But the way Jurie Matthee is playing and the fight in this squad gives me confidence that we’ll find a way.”
The 24-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough 2025 campaign, cementing himself as South Africa’s first-choice No.10 and establishing his reputation as one of world rugby’s most exciting young talents.
The results of the scan are now eagerly awaited by both Stormers and Springboks supporters.
