Six Nations Sons XV: Farrell, Moriarty, Ntamack

France teenager Romain Ntamack will win his first cap against Wales in Friday's Six Nations opener in Paris.

The 19-year-old centre is the son of former Les Bleus wing Emile and he will play alongside Wesley Fofana with Mathieu Bastareaud not included in the 23-man squad.

We've decided to put together an XV of potential Six Nations stars who have famous rugby dads....

Fullback: Adam Hastings (Son of Gavin Hastings)

Hastings has come through the Scottish international set-up. He was also named in the extended Scotland squad in the lead up to the 2018 Six Nations championship game vs Italy. He has gained caps at Scotland U16, Scotland U18, Scotland U19 and Scotland U20. He is the son of ex-Scotland international rugby union captain Gavin Hastings; and the nephew of ex-Scotland international rugby union player Scott Hastings.

Winger: Harry Mallinder (Son of Jim Mallinder)

The past 12 months have seen Harry Mallinder, son of Jim go from relative unknown to a star of the Saints first team. Since making the move into full-time rugby after completing his studies at Rugby School, where he captained the first team, Mallinder has proved himself to be a real talent across the Saintbacklinene.

Centre: Alex Lozowski (Son of Rob Lozowski)

Centre: Owen Farrell (Son of Andy Farrell)

The fly-halves career progressed at the same rate as his father’s Andys – temporarily being the youngest player to play in the English Premiership in 2008. Now an England regular, Farrell has won multiple Six Nations and played a key role in the drawn Lions drawn series against New Zealand in 2017. He’s quickly heading for legendary status.

Winger: Romain Ntamack (Son of Émile Ntamack)

Born in 1999, Romain is the son of former France star Emile Ntamack. He has made 26 Toulouse appearances following his debut in 2017 and scored 56 points. Ntamack's debut for Les Bleus will come against Wales, but he has already played for the U20 side and the French Barbarians.

Fly-half: George Ford (Son of Mike Ford)

He is the son of former Bath Rugby head coach and former Rugby League legend Mike Ford. Now established as an England regular, there is no reason why he can’t go on to become and England great

Scrum-half: Ben Youngs (Son of Nick Youngs)

Prop: Mako Vunipola (Son of Fe’ao Vunipola)

Fe’ao Moe Laru Vunipola was a Tongan former international rugby union player, who participated at the 1995 Rugby World Cup and 1999 Rugby World Cup. He is also the father of Mako Vunipola and Billy Vunipola.

Hooker: Tom Youngs (Son of Nick Youngs)

Prop: Taulupe Faletau - we were desparate (Son of Kuli Faletau)

If Eddie Jones can play players out of position, why can't we? Honestly, we had about 12 back-rowers and props so Faletau, being the best all-rounder has been given the honour.

Lock: Gary Graham - desperate again (Son of George Graham)

He is the son of former Scotland internationals and, despite being called up by England for the 2018 tournament, will likely make his international debut for the Scots during the 2019 Six Nations. We've got him out of position due to an overload of back-rowers and lack of locks.

Lock: Josh Beaumont (Son of Bill Beaumont)

Son of World Rugby president Bill Beaumont, Josh has been on the fringes of the England squad in recent years but has struggled with injuries. If he can get himself a run of games, the 26-year old still has the potential to break into the England set-up.

Flanker: Ross Moriarty (Son of Paul Moriarty)

The abrasive back-rower is the son of former Wales dual-code international Paul and nephew of Wales’ 1987 World Cup captain Richard. He’s now established himself as a Wales regular and was selected for the British & Irish Lions before suffering an injury in the first warm-up match. The 23-year-old seems destined for greatness.
