In recent developments, South Africa's most iconic couple, Siya and Rachel Kolisi, have announced their separation. This marks a significant moment in the rugby world, as the Kolisis have long been celebrated both for their on-field achievements and their philanthropic endeavors.

Their split has been described as mutual, with both parties emphasizing continued respect and commitment to co-parenting their children.

The new Springbok captain, however, has been in a stable relationship with Hope Mortimer since 2018.

Mortimer, a chartered accountant, has been a steady presence in Kriel’s life, often spotted supporting him on and off the field.

According to HollywoodsMagazine, the 30-year-old Mortimer is currently the head of collaborations at House of Macadamias, a South African company that produces and sells macadamia products. She has been in this role since January 2023. 

Prior to this, Mortimer was a chartered accountant with experience in South Africa and the UK.

While details about how Kriel and Mortimer met remain private, their relationship has grown over the years, with the couple occasionally sharing glimpses of their life on social media.

Scrum-half Faf de Klerk has been cheered on during the World Cup by his wife, Mine. The couple met through mutual friends in 2015 and married in October 2022 at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek.

Mine, a pharmacist, reunited with Faf for their wedding anniversary earlier this month in France, sharing a photo on Instagram with the caption 'Back together.'

The couple celebrated Faf's 32nd birthday after the quarter-final win over France, marking another milestone during the tournament.

Fly-half Handré Pollard was a star in South Africa's 2019 World Cup final triumph against England. Despite a calf injury in May, he was called up to the squad as a late replacement in September 2024.

His wife, Marise, a lifestyle and fitness blogger, married Pollard in 2017.

She celebrated his return to the team during their pool phase win over Tonga and continues to support him from the stands, sharing moments with fellow WAGs.

Full-back Cheslin Kolbe, part of the 2019 World Cup-winning team, met his wife Layla after a match for the Stormers in 2013. Layla, a chartered accountant, and Cheslin married in 2018.

The couple has three children: Kylah (6), Mila Sky (3), and Cayden (1). Team-mates Siya Kolisi and Justin Geduld served as groomsmen, while Rachel Kolisi was a bridesmaid.

Layla and the children returned to South Africa from Japan earlier this year, preparing for the school year ahead.

Singer and actress Anlia Etzebeth began her romance with Springbok lock Eben in 2021. Anlia has featured in several local Afrikaans soap operas and Ridley Scott’s HBO series Raised by Wolves

In February 2025, Eben and Anlia exchanged vows at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January 2024.

In May 2025, they announced they are expecting their second child, a baby girl, expressing their excitement and family values on social media.
