Ospreys’ South African tour ended in frustration as the Stormers powered home for their second bonus-point win of the campaign. Two first-half tries from Kieran Hardy gave the Welsh side a narrow 10–8 lead at the break, but the hosts took control after the restart.

Evan Roos, Wandisile Simelane and Paul de Villiers crossed as John Dobson’s men dominated the set-piece and territory. Jurie Matthee’s 11 points from the tee sealed a professional home win, while the Ospreys’ scrum frailties again proved costly despite spirited showings from Hardy and Dewi Lake.

The Welsh side trailed 17–14 at the break but fought back through a Tinus de Beer penalty in a rain-slicked second half. Tries from Aaron Wainwright and Angus O’Brien kept the hosts in the fight, while Marvin Orie and Vincent Tshituka replied for the visitors. Benetton pulled off one of their biggest URC upsets in recent memory as Rhyno Smith’s last-gasp 50-metre drop goal stunned Glasgow in Treviso.

The Warriors seemed in control after tries from Jare Oguntibeju and Josh McKay built a 14–3 half-time lead. But the Italians clawed their way back, Tommaso Menoncello finishing brilliantly before Jacob Umaga’s penalty narrowed the gap. With the clock in the red, Smith’s strike sailed through the posts to seal a dramatic home win and back-to-back victories to start the season.

Munster held off a fierce Cardiff challenge to claim a narrow win at Thomond Park, with Jack Crowley’s composed boot proving decisive in a bruising encounter.

Josh Adams struck first for the visitors before Ruadhan Quinn hit back, but Tom Bowen’s hat-trick kept Cardiff in contention. Zebre made it two wins from two with a stunning late victory over the Lions in Parma, Matteo Nocera’s 79th-minute try and Martin Roger Farias’ cool conversion sealing a famous 22–20 result.

The hosts led 12–3 at halftime through tries from Jacopo Stavile and Tommaso Di Bartolomeo, before the Lions rallied with scores from SJ Kotze, Eduan Keyter and Morne Brandon.
