Such attributes will be gold dust to Dave Rennie once the Summer is in full-swing, as injuries and rest periods to the hard-working back rows are all but expected, especially when the eight-match tour of South Africa kicks into gear.

Segner could make his All Blacks debut in just over a weeks time, as New Zealand take on France at the One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch - in what would culminate the half-decade of overseas perseverance for the man from Frankfurt.

Next up is a man that has been at the heart of quite the off-field saga, with reports and rumours circulating around an overseas transfer for the firey-formed Fehi Fineanganafo. The ultimate finisher of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season enjoyed a star-making campaign with the Hurricanes, as he crossed over for a joint-league best of 17 tries in the title winning efforts.

Such prolific try-scoring certainly caught the attention of overseas investors, with the likes of Newcastle Red Bulls out to sign Fineanganafo, and bring the hot-stepping wing across to the Gallagher PREM. However, this and other moves were reportedly snuffed out by New Zealand Rugby, with the All Blacks making it quite clear to Fineanganafo, that he is apart of their immediate plans ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The latest news is that Fineanganafo is eager for an exit strategy to come into action, and end the links with Newcastle once and for good. Whilst it's a tough loss for the fans of the former Falcons, its a major win for those who back the men in the black jerseys. From one Super Rugby top scorer to another, the fourth man called up for their first All Blacks cap this Summer is the man that joined Fehi Fineanganfo as the top-try scorer for the 2026 season. Josh Moorby bagged a stunning brace of tries in the rather one sided Super Rugby Pacific Final win over the Chiefs, with his two-try effort helping to build the colossal 60-5 hammering.

Moorby bagged his 16th and 17th scores of the season to end the match level in the rankings with Fineanganfo, with the 'Canes backs set to share custody of the top try-scorer trophy for the coming year. The 27-year-old brings a blistering first step into the All Blacks camp, with the resident Chiefs players shuddering at the ever-present line-breaks Moorby unleashed in Wellington.

The 27-year-old also encompasses quite the versatility across the back-field, with the ability to seamlessly cover both the full-back and wings when the opportunity arises.
