England internationals Rosie Galligan and Marlie Packer have announced they are expecting a baby together, with Galligan due to give birth in October.
The engaged couple, who both represent Saracens, shared the news in a joint Instagram post, writing:
“Baby Packer due October 2026 and your mummies and big brother can’t wait to meet you.”

From World Cup winners to soon-to-be parents
Galligan, 27, and Packer, 36, were both part of England’s squad that lifted the Women’s Rugby World Cup on home soil last year.
Packer is no stranger to World Cup success, having also been part of the England side that won the tournament back in 2014. She is already mum to five-year-old son Oliver.
Caps, trophies… and now a new arrival
Galligan has 31 caps for England and featured in their Grand Slam-winning Six Nations campaign in 2022, while Packer has racked up 112 international appearances since making her debut in 2008.

The news also continues a growing trend within the England squad, with Galligan becoming the fourth player to announce a pregnancy this year after captain Zoe Stratford and Bristol duo Lark Atkin-Davies and Abbie Ward.
