Sam Warburton slams Wales fans as Georgia secure historic win in Cardiff

Georgia have made history as they edged to a slender 13-12 win against Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

There were amazing scenes on the pitch as Georgia’s players jumped around, hugging each other as they secured one of the biggest results in their history.

Replacement Luka Matkava kicked a 78th-minute penalty to prove the Georgian hero.

Wayne Pivac’s side had built up a 12-3 lead thanks to two tries from Jac Morgan.

But Georgia responded in the second half with an Alexander Todua try and the boot of Matkava to create history and spark wild celebrations

However, Wales legend Sam Warburton, who was on commentary for Prime Video, was rightly annoyed with some of the Welsh fans behaviour.

He said: “Georgia deserve this but I’d like a bit more silence in the stadium in a moment like that when the penalty is being kicked.

“This is huge or Georgia. They’ve certainly made a statement today,”
