Scotland fly-half Finn Russell has confirmed he wants to continue playing beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup, insisting retirement is nowhere near his thoughts.
The 34-year-old remains under contract at Bath until June 2028 and has no plans to call time on his career just yet.
Speaking to RugbyPass, Russell made it clear that he still has plenty of rugby left in him.

Finn Russell makes retirement decision

"I've still got this year and next year on my contract at Bath; I don't know what will happen after that."
The Scotland star added: "But I'm keen to keep playing."
Russell, who will turn 35 before next year's World Cup in Australia, has no intention of setting a retirement date.
"I've not got an age or a number that I want to get to cap wise or contract wise."
The former Racing 92 playmaker is enjoying life at Bath Rugby and believes he still has plenty to offer.
His comments will come as welcome news to Scotland supporters, with Gregor Townsend's side preparing for another huge year.

Russell discusses life after rugby

Although retirement is not on the agenda, Russell has started considering what might come next.
"People ask me about coaching but I'm not sure, I don't know."
Rather than taking a traditional coaching role, he is interested in helping young players develop.
"I wouldn't mind doing individual consultancy work with a team or individual players."
One youngster he mentioned was Newcastle Red Bulls fly-half Jake Dalziel, who has already impressed the Scotland international.
Russell also suggested he could help clubs improve their attacking play without committing to a full-time coaching position.
For now, his attention remains firmly on playing.
The British & Irish Lions star is preparing for Scotland's Nations Championship opener against New Zealand next weekend.
The match could see Russell reach 100 combined Test appearances for Scotland and the Lions.
And with the 2027 Rugby World Cup fast approaching, Scotland's star playmaker has made it clear he isn't ready to walk away.
