The Telegraph reveal at least FIVE England stars will miss out on Lions selection

  • Five or more England stars will miss out on Lions selection
  • Ben Te’o and Kyle Sinckler are set to be included

At least five of England’s Six Nations heroes are going to miss out on selection for the British & Irish Lions according to The Telegraph.

It is understood that the omissions will include England’s play-making fly-half, George Ford, centre Jonathan Joseph, fullback Mike Brown, flanker James Haskell and lock Joe Launchbury.

Chris Robshaw is also expected to be omitted despite returning to full fitness while England captain Dylan Hartley may also miss out.

As reported by The Telegraph on Sunday, England prop Kyle Sinckler and centre Ben Te’o nevertheless do look likely to make the cut.

Game 6: Tuesday, June 20 v Chiefs in Hamilton
Game 7: Saturday, June 24 v All Blacks in Auckland
Game 8: Tuesday, June 27 v Hurricanes in Wellington
Game 9: Saturday, July 1 v All Blacks in Wellington
Game 10: Saturday, July 8 v All Blacks in Auckland

The tour begins on 3 June and features a 10-game schedule, culminating in a three-Test series against the All Blacks.

The Lions will be looking for a second series win in New Zealand, with their only triumph to date a 2-1 victory in 1971.
