Toulon have announced the signing of versatile back Jonah Placid, who will join the Top 14 club from Super Rugby side the Rebels.
The 22-year-old, who has played for Australia U20 in previous seasons, puts pen to paper on a two-year contract with the French heavyweights.

Placid can play full-back and appears to be a replacement for Wales and Lions star Leigh Halfpenny, who left Toulon at the end of last season.
