Transfer Rumours: Gloucester powerhouse set to depart Kingsholm

Powerhouse Tongan winger David Halaifonua is reportedly close to signing terms with newly promoted Coventry after spending the past few seasons at Gloucester.

This adds to the haul of Pacific Islanders making there way to Coventry after Jack Ram and brothers Andy and Junior Bulumakau signed from Doncaster knights last week.

Halaifonua signed for Gloucester Rugby in November 2014 following his country’s autumn tour.

2016-17 was the versatile backs best season to date in the Cherry and White of Gloucester as he made 17 appearances and scored six tries.
