Northampton are tracking the availability of Veainu
He’d replace Ben Foden, who is out of contract in the summer
Northampton Saints are tracking Leicester Tigers impressive full-back Telusa Veainu, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The Tongan International joined the Tigers in 2015 from the Melbourne Rebels but despite being one of their standout stars, he is yet to agree on a new deal.
The Rugby Paper has reported today that Saints are looking to strengthen their squad, especially as Wales wing George North and former England star Ben Foden are both out of contract in the summer.
Veainu was the Tiger’s supporters Player of the Year after scoring 13 tries in his first season at Welford Road.
It would be considered a major coup if Saints are able to sign one of their rivals crown jewels if he doesn’t agree a new deal.
