Every rugby player dreams of representing his country, so receiving a call-up usually ranks among any player’s proudest achievements.
However, these five players called up by Eddie Jones experienced a less than memorable time in an England shirt with a training ground accident actually ending one particular stars career.
#1. Jack Maunder
In April 2017, Jones named Maunder in a 31-man squad for the summer tour of Argentina. The talented scrum-half then made his debut in the first test against Argentina, coming on for Danny Care in the 77th minute to create the winning try in Santa Fe .
Maunder was then selected for Eddie Jones’ pre-season England training squad, but hasn’t really had a look in since. He now finds himself linked with a move away from Exeter after falling out of favour.
