The 29-year-old triggered disciplinary action after receiving three yellow cards in URC fixtures across a three-month spell.
Hastings was cited for dangerous tackles during Glasgow’s 26-21 win over Zebre on January 24 and the 48-12 defeat to the Stormers on April 25. He also saw yellow for retaliation in the Warriors’ 38-17 victory against Leinster on March 21.
Judicial Officer Simon Thomas of Wales confirmed Hastings had been punished for “persistent offending” rather than the individual incidents themselves.
As a result, Hastings will sit out Friday’s home encounter with Cardiff and Glasgow’s final regular-season match against Ulster in Dublin on May 15.
