Dan Frost has agreed a new deal to remain at Bath, ending speculation over his future at The Rec.
RUCK understands that the hooker has signed a contract extension with the club, following recent reports that Gloucester had expressed an interest in signing him.
The 29-year-old joined Bath in 2025 and made 19 appearances in all competitions last season, featuring as one of the club’s main options at hooker alongside Tom Dunn and Kepu Tuipulotu.
Frost came through the Bath academy and earned England Under-18 recognition before joining Championship side Cornish Pirates in 2018.
He then moved to Wasps, where he made 25 appearances and scored seven tries.
The powerful hooker switched to Exeter Chiefs in 2022 and went on to make 57 appearances for the Devon-based side, scoring 19 tries.
Frost enjoyed a prolific 2025/26 campaign, scoring 12 tries for Bath, with only Henry Arundell crossing the line more often.
His form attracted interest from West Country rivals Gloucester, with former Bath head of recruitment Rob Burgess reportedly keen on bringing him to Kingsholm.
Burgess was in the role when Frost returned to Bath.
Frost’s previous two-year contract was due to expire in 2027, leading to speculation that he could leave the club.
However, the new agreement will extend his stay, keeping him at Bath and bringing an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Frost is not the only Bath player to have attracted interest from Gloucester, with Ewan Richards also understood to be on their radar.
His situation remains unresolved, meaning a move could still be possible.
When Frost first joined the club, Bath boss Johann van Graan said, “Dan is an explosive ball carrier, strong in the set piece, with the ability to be in the right place at the right time. What has impressed me has been his hunger to get better.
"Whether he is starting or an impact player he always makes a positive difference. I am looking forward to welcoming him on our journey together at Bath Rugby.”
