Andy Irvine

Position: Fullback

DOB: 16/09/1951 (age 64)

Current club: Retired

Previous clubs: Heriot’s Rugby, Barbarians

Honours: Scotland, British and Irish Lions

The flamboyant and brilliant fullback Andy Irvine is probably the most famous rugby international Scotland has ever produced. Irvine, who played in 9 Tests for the Lions, retired from international rugby in 1984 aged 33 following a series of horrific injuries but still had managed to break a shed load of records during his career, which included becoming the first player to win 51 caps for Scotland. The hard-working back also went on to score, what was at the time, a record-breaking combined 11 tries for Scotland and the British and Irish Lions.

Michele Rizzo

Position: Prop

DOB: 16/09/1982 (age 33)

Current club: Leicester Tigers

Previous clubs: Petrarca, Benetton Treviso

Honours: Italy

Aggressive veteran prop Michele Rizzo made his international bow for the Azzurri in 2005, playing four minutes against Australia. Despite only being able to amass 19 Test Caps over the last decade the powerful Leicester Tigers scrummager has been selected by Jacques Brunel for his final 31-man squad for the forthcoming World Cup.

Brett Sheehan

Position: Scrum-half

DOB: 16/09/1929 (age 36)

Current club: Retired

Previous clubs: Central Coast Rays, Queensland Reds, Waratahs, Wester Force, London Wasps

Honours: Australia

Cross-code star and former Wallaby scrum-half Brett Sheehan played the majority of his club rugby in his native Australia with Super Rugby sides, Queensland Reds, Waratah and Western Force. Sheehan, who won seven caps for the Wallabies, then signed a short-term deal with London Wasps in January 2014 before departing the Premiership in May of that year, presumably hanging up his boots. He also previously played for a number clubs in the National Rugby League; such as the Brisbane Broncos, Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs.
