Bristol Set to Beat Exeter to Signing of Saracens Wonderkid

Bristol Bears are set to sign not one but two Saracens players on loan next season, according to the latest reports.

Pat Lam’s side are the favourites to land England flanker Ben Earl, who is reported to be heading to the club on a season-long loan deal.

However, The Rugby Paper now reports talented back Max Malins could also be on his way to Ashton Gate.

The 23-year-old, who was thought to be heading to Sandy Park, is primarily a fly-half but can also play at centre and full back.

The Rugby Paper reports Malins could head to Bristol on a loan deal which would allow Lam to cover the key position while continuing to bring through the exciting stand offs emerging from the academy.

In 2016 Malins tasted success with England Under-20s in the World Rugby Championship and made his Saracens bow a year later in the LV= Cup.

Learning from the likes of Owen Farrell and Alex Goode, Malins has stepped up on numerous occasions in the Premiership and helped a young team reach the 2018/19 Premiership Rugby Cup with some sizzling displays.
