Leinster booked their place in the Champions Cup quarter-finals after they demolished Montpellier 57-3 at the RDS on Friday.

RUCK Man of the Match Jack Conan scored a hat-trick of tries for the dominant hosts.

Full-back Isa Nacewa, winger Adam Byrne, scrum-half Luke McGrath, replacement prop Cian Healy and centre Garry Ringrose also touched down in a rampant displau.

Montpellier had fly-half Frans Steyn, who scored the visitors only points from the tee, was red-carded for a high challenge on Johnny Sexton when the score was 14-3.

Leinster, who finished bottom of their group last season, can secure a home quarter-final by beating already eliminated Castres on 20th January.

Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt would have been thrilled to see so many of his internationals, namely Sexton, heading into the 2017 Six Nations
