“Crazy Start to the Game” France v Scotland begins in Red Card Chaos

The third round Guinness Six Nations match between Scotland and France, got off to the most crazy of starts. Three French tries and two red cards within the opening twenty minutes, saw both sides drop to 14 men, and a strong early French lead.

France scored an early opening try through Romain Ntamack, with the fly half crossing over after just six minutes. What followed was Scotland lock Grant Gilchrist seeing red for his high tackle on Anthony Jelonch. Clear contact with Gilchrist shoulder to the head of Jelonch, saw the Scotland lock see red.

France built on their lead through Ethan Dumortier, yet their extra man advantage lasted all off four minutes, as Mohamed Haouas is sent off for headbutting Ben White. A crazy move from Haouas, who seemingly unprovoked, leads with his head and collides with White. The scrum half collapses with Haouas send off.

France scored a third, with Ramos scoring a breakaway try after Finn Russell’s pass is intercepted. A thrilling start to the game, unlike anything seen so far in this years’ Six Nations.
