Danny Care to continue as Harlequins captain

Harlequins have confirmed that Danny Care will continue as Club Captain for the 2016/17 season, with fly-half Nick Evans named as vice-Captain. 

Confirming the announcement, Harlequins Director of Rugby, John Kingston said: “I am absolutely delighted that Danny and Nick have accepted the prestigious roles of Captain and Vice-Captain of Harlequins for the forthcoming season.

“It’s always an honour to take up the position at such a great club in any year, but even more so with it being the 150th anniversary.

“It is my considered opinion that Danny and Nick relish such responsibility and these appointments will only help to bring out the very best in them on the field.”

Care added: “Captaining Harlequins is one of the biggest honours I’ve had in my career and I’m proud to be able to continue in the role for the new season.



“Last year didn’t go as well as we would have hoped, we got close to a trophy but fell at the last hurdle.

“It’s a really exciting time at the Club with the new management structure and with it being our 150th year; we all hope to do this amazing anniversary justice both on and off the field.”
