England vs Argentina player ratings as Eddie Jones side started their 2022 Autumn Nations Series with an unexpected 30-29 defeat at Twickenham.
Joe Cokansiga’s first half try combined with the boot of Owen Farrell gave the men in black a 16-12 lead at the break with Emiliano Boffelli slotting four penalties for the Pumas.
A Wonderful start to the second-half saw Boffelli finished off a well worked move before Santiago Carreras controversial score made it 24-16 to the visitors.
Replacement Jack van Poortvliet scored for England with pretty much his first touch to get the hosts back within touching distance before Farrell with a penalty gave them a slender lead.
Two Boffelli penalties kept the Pumas ahead for the win with Farrell responding with a three-pointer of his own, 29-30.
