England winger Jonny May is set for a sensational move from Gloucester to Leicester in a deal that could see lock Ed Slater move the other way.
After offloading South African wing JP Pietersen and centre Peter Betham, Leicester have made room in their squad and budget to bring in reinforcements, making May their top target.

News outlet Gloucestershire Live understands that the Tigers are in a position to buy May out of the final year of his contract with him joining them in time for the new season.
Meanwhile, the cherry and whites are thought to be long-term admirers of Slater and they want to sign the former Leicester club captain in a deal that would see the two players swap clubs.
Saracens are also thought to be interested but Leicester have made the first move to try and secure May’s signature a year before his deal at Gloucester expires.
While May would be a big loss, Gloucester added depth to their back three by bringing in Bristol fullback Jason Woodward this summer.
