Joe Marler’s high profile disciplinary case after the incident involving Alun Wyn Jones has seen him slapped with a ten game ban.
The forward was pictured ‘grabbing’ Wyn Jones’ genitals in England’s clash with Wales at the weekend.
Some projections suggested Marler could have received up to a four year ban, with 12 games a minimum.
The Club has issued the following statement regarding Joe Marler's disciplinary. #COYQ— Harlequins 🃏 (@Harlequins) March 13, 2020
In their statement, they said: “Harlequins notes the disciplinary decision regarding Joe Marler.
“Whilst not in any way condoning Joe’s actions last Saturday we are disappointed at the level of sanction applied, particularly when compared to other disciplinary decisions announced this week.
“The Club will be making no further comment on the situation and is fully focused on this weekend’s Premiership Rugby Cup Final against Sale Sharks.”
