LIONS INJURY UPDATE: All the latest news on British & Irish Lions players with a number of Warren Gatland’s players carrying injuries after the first test.
#1. Dan Biggar
Failing his HIA against the Springboks is the latest knock the Welsh fly-half has taken on the tour.
So far in South Africa, Biggar has battled through the pain, suffering an ankle sprain as well as having a cortisone injection in his ‘stiff and painful’ knee.Embed from Getty Images
The Welsh playmaker last suffered a bad concussion for Northampton In May, but this was only his latest head knock with Biggar suffering three concussions in just a five-month period back in 2020.
When asked about Biggar, Gatland responded: “We’ll have to see. It’s a tricky one”
It’s fair to say, the 31-year-old is a major doubt for the second test.
