LIST: 5 players Eddie Jones has revealed will be called up this summer

They're set to face the USA and Canada at Twickenham this summer, as well as the return of an 'A' team to play their Scottish counterparts.

The two Tests will be at Twickenham on July 4 and 10 and the RFU expect at least 10,000 supporters to attend. England A will face Scotland A at Welford Road on June 27.

Jones said: “The summer series will give us the chance to look at a lot of players and see how they step up, and it’s an important part of our World Cup preparation.

“For younger players, it’s a chance to show what they can do at international level and how they are in the team environment.”

The teenager is one of the latest products from Leicester's academy, and the latest in a long line of players recruited from Norfolk, which include England and Lions players Tom and Ben Youngs. A standout for the Tigers in 2020-21, particularly under the high ball, the fullback was namechecked by Eddie Jones prior to the Challenge Cup final against Montpellier at Twickenham.

The different trajectories the two Curry brothers have taken still seems bizarre, because Ben remains an excellent back-row, abrasively physical and strong over the breakdown, who surely deserves another look. Jones has already revealed that he'd like to get him back into the squad if he got back to this best.

His Dad Johan Ackermann, who departed as Gloucester boss for Japan last summer, confirmed that his son will be staying with the Cherry & Whites to pursue international honours. The imposing number eight, who has already been in contact with Eddie Jones, qualified for England on residency grounds in August 2020.

He has turned down the chance to join the Team GB training squad ahead of the Olympic Games due to be held in Japan this summer after speaking to Eddie Jones. Smith, who was also linked with a Lions call-up is set to be play understudy to George Ford against Canada and USA, but will likely start for England A against Scotland A>

The 28-year-old could become the next South Sea Islander to be given a chance to impress by England coach Eddie Jones. The Fijian, who is on an extended leave from the Yorkshire Regiment, joined the Bears on a two-year contract last summer and is England qualified. Naulago, who played Sevens for Bath and Saracens before joining Super League Hull FC, has scored seven tries for the Bears so far this season to get onto Jones’ radar.
