Predicting whether this summer's big Premiership signings will flop or not

Everything about this addition suggests flop. With Brown now 36, his recent disciplinary record and various injuries in recent years suggest this a bit of a risky signing by Dean Richards. However, the 72-cap England legends character, determination, and form for Harlequins last season makes us think he will prove to be a very popular addition at Kingston Park.

Following in the footsteps of Danny Cipriani, who won Premiership player of the year in 2019, seems like a thankless position to be in for Hastings. He's got all the tools to add some dynamism to Gloucester's backline, but will he crack under the pressure at Kingsholm? We're going to be slightly controversial and say, yes.

If he can stay fit, Wasps have one of the best scrum-halves the Premiership has seen in recent years. An absolute steal and major blow for Worcester.

Verdict: No flop

It's been tough for the fly-half since he left Welford Road in 2017, and he had some real stinkers while at Bath. When he plays badly, he plays very badly, but he will help Tigers play some dynamic, attacking rugby and should be less calamitous than Zack Henry.

Verdict: Not flop

Looking back through history, big-money signings rarely seem to work out for the Warriors with Ben Te'o proving to be a waste of time and money during his time at Sixways. There has been plenty of upheaval at the club with Worcester favourite to finish rock bottom with the bookies. We're predicting and the difficult first season for the Scotland international.
