Sale have had an audacious move for All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams turned down.
The Daily Mail have reported that Williams was approached through his representatives by the Sale Sharks this week, for what would have been an immediate transfer to the English club..
But inquires about an immediate move for the centre were shot down, with Kiwi Williams honouring his contract with the NZRU until the World Cup.
The Mail on Sunday understands two other English clubs, reportedly Bristol and Saracens, have also asked early questions about the back’s availability in 2019.
