Not only did they break the Guinness record for the world’s largest scrum, but they smashed it, with 2,586 rugby fans locking arms for the attempt.

The game crowd gathered on Sept. 23 at the Toyota Stadium here, one of the 2019 Rugby World Cup’s host venues in September and October next year.
Guinness World Records was on hand to observe the mass gathering and confirmed that the number of scrum participants easily surpassed the previous record of 1,758.
