One year to the day since Alex Goode’s epic four day, full kit drinking session to celebrate Saracens Champions Cup triumph against Leinster, there are reports he’ll be exiting the London club.
It was suggested by the Mail Online last week that the 32-year-old would be heading to Japan on a season-long loan.

The Rugby Paper has built upon this initial report, revealing that NEC, who were rock bottom when the Japanese Top League was brought to a premature end, have secured the signing of the 21-cap England international for next season.
Goode is then expected to return to Sarries next summer, ahead of their anticipated return to the Gallagher Premiership, after a campaign in the Championship as punishment for salary cap violations.
Another of Saracens’ England contingent, lock George Kruis, is poised to announce that he is joining a Japanese club – understood to be Panasonic Wild Knights.
Meanwhile, Wales internationals Hadleigh Parkes and Owen Williams are also set to agree moves to the far east.
