REPORT: Vincent Koch closes in on move to Premiership club

Springbok prop Vincent Koch reportedly visited Sale Sharks training facility at Carrington on Tuesday after departing Wasps.

According to The Telegraph, a source close to the Springbok he is ‘currently weighing up a number of options’and his representatives are in negotiations with Sale.

However, reports in South Africa have meanwhile linked the former Saracens man with a move to similarly named ‘The Sharks’.

According Rapport, Koch could be a replacement for Thomas du Toit, who is being courted by English club Bath where former Bok assistant Johann van Graan is the head coach.

He has also been linked with a move to Stade Francais.

He had been pictured training with the Top 14 club and on Thursday evening, an image was posted on their social media along with the message ‘welcome Biyi’.

The prop joins a squad that also contains former Wasps winger Christian Wade, who joined the Paris club earlier this month following a couple of years playing in the NFL.

The Mail Online has reported that Odogwu, who qualifies for Italy through his father, is attracting significant interest from and could sign with Italian side Benetton Treviso.
