Eddie Jones reveals which England youngsters caught his eye in their 28-14 win over the Barbarians at Twickenham.
England fielded eight uncapped players against the Barbarians, with the stand-out performers being strong-running Nathan Earle and 18-year-old Sale flanker Tom Curry.
“Firstly this was a good preparation for Argentina and secondly, it gave us the opportunity to look at some young guys,” Jones told Sky Sports.
“We got some really good performances from some of them which was pleasing and gives them an opportunity to keep on going with their England career.
“I think the young No. 7 [Tom Curry] who came on did very well.
“Sam Underhill looked like the real deal when he was on as well so immediately we have two sevens there.
“The young lock Nick [Isiekwe] – I still can’t pronounce his name – was promising too, he went 70 odd minutes today.
“Nathan Earle again on the wing showed enough to suggest that we should go forward with him.”
